Happy Monday!

It's been a few days since the last update, so I thought I'd bring you up to speed. Ced's been in regular rehersals with The Sargent Tucker Band, and they will be performing together, for the first time, on October 26th (check 'tour dates' for details). .

For those who may have only seen him as a 'drummer'. Well, there's more to Cedric D. Wilmott, than meets the eye. He's back to doing vocals again, and he even pulled out the guitar, and we're doin' a little song writing together. So be ready!!!! Keep an eye on the the website, and don't miss what's happeining.

Until next time -

Good morning...we had a little techincal difficulty with the if you thought you read something, and now it's not here, you're right - it's gone.. :)

I'll just give you a quick update - Reno was good, although The new Razors is nothin' like Mustangs used to be...but the crowd still had good night there, and then back on the road. Next, Whiskey Dawn did a night at Redhawk Casino, in Placerville. The guys shook things up a little bit, did a tune by the Marshall Tucker Band and they were smokin'..the fans LOVED it! Not a song they normally do, but wow, they need to put it on the set list from now on... The weekend came to a close last night in Auburn, at the Gold Country Fair. Whiskey Dawn ended on a high note, they brought the house down...the band, and fans alike, were lovin' the high energy evening....that show won't soon be forgotten...

But today, is a new day....

And good things are just around the corner...Ced has a rehearsal this evening..He's workin' with a new band. Doin' something with a little different feel than country here....I'm really looking forward to, not only hearing him on the drums, but hearing a little bit of vocals. I've gotten a sneak peek, and if you didn't know he could sing, well, surprise! This project is shapping up nicely, and I think some folks (who don't already know) will learn that there are many different sides to Cedric D. Wilmott....keep checkin' out the website, check out his new fb fan page too ...Until next time -

Hey there, I just wanted to pop in for a minute...

Ced had a photo-shoot on Monday evening, and it went great! Also, I just added another date to the calendar - November 30th, Silo's in Napa, Ca. - The Sargent Tucker Band ...a little funk, R&B, you know, 'the good stuff' .....Can't wait for that one....

Comin' up this weekend - WHISKEY DAWN!!! 3 nights of great music....

They'll be @ in Oroville, Ca. on Friday - Show starts @ 9:30pm.

This is a really nice venue. Lots of room. Good food. Big dance floor.

Saturday's a private function - somebody's gettin' married :) ...I love weddings, and when they have great entertainment, well that's even better...

Sunday evening @ 9, you can catch Ced & the boys at the Mariposa County Fair ...Whiskey Dawn will be joining in the Homecoming/ 75th Anniversary celebration...come early, and stay late - Monday's a holiday!

Okay...I'm outta here....but I'll be back soon

It's almost time for Whisky Row to get the party started....

What a great setting, there's nothing better than outdoor concerts....This should be a lotta fun! The guys are takin care of the sound check, makin' sure everything goes off without a hitch...Then it's time to grab something cold to drink, and enjoy the scenery until the they go on.....What a life..... ( I love being married to a musician )

It was an early morning, after not much sleep last night, so it's nice to be able to relax, listen to some, "Y'ALLTERNATIVE" country music (when you hear their songs you'll know why they're callin' it that), and enjoy the warm sunshine...

Life is crazy busy these days, Ced's got a few irons in the fire, so to speak, so any opportunity to "work" and get back to nature at the same time is a plus in our book....

Now, I don't wanna say too much right now, but there are some exciting possibilities on the horizon for Cedric. So be sure and stick around - that way you'll be among the first to know what's happening....

Ced's an amzing drummer! He has this natural, God-given, talent/ability to pick up those sticks and make magic - well -It's absolutely crazy, the way that he plays....speed, control, creativity - BAM! Right in your face, It doesn't matter what 'type' of music it is - I've watched/listened to him play it all, from rock, to country, to blues, to 'latin-hip-hop-reggae' - he makes it look so easy...effortless. He's very 'fluid' when he plays, and I love that. He just has this 'feel' for the music....He isn't just someone who PLAYS the drums - he IS a drummer...if that makes sense....lots of people can play the drums, but when you come across a musician like Ced, well, it's not something HE DOES, it's WHO HE IS....and I think that type of passion, that goes all the way to the depths of his very soul, can't help but manifest itself when he gets behind the kit. ...

Ced's a pretty modest guy, he doesn't spend a lot of time droppin' names, and talkin' about everywhere he's played...he's a true professional, in every sense of the word. He's an asset to any band he plays with. Not only does he have the talent, but he works his butt off, and gives 200% ALWAYS, doin' his part to make the band look great, and ensuring that the fans never go home disappointed.

NOW LET ME ASK YOU THIS - what more could anyone ask for...

Okay, that'll do it for today....or at least for now....Ced's got another gig tonight, so who knows, i might be back....

Don't forget -check out Ced's new 'fan page' on fb...gonna do my best to get the pics/videos posted everywhere ASAP ....

I don't think any arranger should ever write a drum part for a drummer because if a drummer can't create his own Interpretation of the chart and he plays everything that's written, he becomes mechanical; he has no freedom. - Buddy Rich

The weekend is almost upon us, so I thought I'd give you a glimpse of what's on the agenda...

Ced will be playing with Whisky Row & The West Side Ride on Saturday, the a place called China Peak Resort...I believe it's not too far from Yosemite...this is an all-ages event, which is really nice. People can come out with the kiddos, and get acquainted with The Row in this beautiful, outdoor concert setting..... you just never know, you might have a budding musician in your midst, and what better way to encourage their passion and creativity, than to spend the day surrounded by music...don't be surprised if they're begging for those drums, or that guitar, on the drive home....

It all starts at 2pm with Copper & Glass, next up, Leaving Austin, @ 3:30, followed by the main event -The one and only WHISKY ROW & THE WEST SIDE RIDE!!! The boys will be taking the stage at 4:30...”Choo, Choo....All Aboard The Bottle Train!!!

Now, if you need to hear more of Whisky Row, they're gonna continue rockin' at a place called Bullfrogs Bar & Grill in for sure wanna be there if you can....

Whisky Row has great original songs, and they have this amazing ability to take any cover song that they do, and make it uniquely their own....I'll even go so far as to say, they do them better than the original artist...DON'T BELIEVE ME!? Check 'em out …'ll hear that I'm right....

Ced's the new kid on the block, but you'd never know it....he's only been with the band for a few months, but when you hear them get the feeling they've been together forever...everyone gets into a groove, it's natural, it flows - they're all havin'g a great time doin' what they love to do...they're into it...the fans are into it....everyone's havin' a blast - and that's what it's all about at the end of the night.....

See ya there!
